  1. I make a herbal concentrate that I add to my drinks throughout the day. Boil 11/2 – 2 lb finely sliced fresh ginger root in about 2 gallons of water for 35-40 minutes. Add a selection of herbs from the garden – say, rosemary, oregano, cilantro and parsley… usually 4 herbs. Boil 10 minutes. Allow to sit for a couple of hours. While still warm sieve the herbs out of the liquid. Then add 2 cups apple cider vinegar and honey to the liquid… adjust amounts to suit your taste. Store in jugs in fridge and mix with no calorie/low calorie drinks on ratio of about 1:5.

  2. I can totally relate. I am a 5-year colon cancer survivor and all the surgeries and chemo did a number on my gut. Slowly but surely I started reintroducing gut healthy foods like fermented stuff and high fiber veggies and whole grains and things are better now.   3. Perfectly timed post as I’m suffering from a few of these symptoms as a result of a couple of antibiotics and a sensitivity to dairy. Another thing I’ve found helpful is kombucha.
